We are very excited as we have been invited to speak  to Wendy Beresford as part of her monthly online show to spread wellbeing. She is a holistic therapist and runs a project called Picture Peace UK, that aims to inspire listeners to help us on our path to peace and wellbeing.

I went to a course last weekend, with DrDemartini. Demartini is a Human Behavioral Specialist, Educator and Author.

Demartini is a scientist and he gives a lot of complicated theories, to back up some of the things that we genuinely, naturally always trust… I have tried to translate (for mainly my own benefit!) some top tips that I wanted to share with you, and I’d love to hear your thoughts:

Love is the existence of great things and the not so great things
‘Love is a synthesis in space and a synchronicity in time of complimentary emotions.’

Basically, in life, and in our emotions, opposing forces are always in place. When there is pleasure there is pain, when there is rejection there is acceptance, when there is challenge there is support. Life is definitely not always great and its definitely not always rubbish. As much as  Ella and I have days where we spread happiness, we also have days where we write angry lists!

If you have a peek at a time in your life where there is challenge, you will see that there is always someone supporting you. Whatever situation we create for ourselves, the universe will balance to ensure everyone always has everything that we need.

Be Grateful and be humble
‘Gratitude is the key that opens up the gateway to the human heart.’

Be grateful for everything that comes your way in life and be humble (not proud or arrogant).
Every crisis has a blessing and every new challenge that we are working on, is something to help us achieve balance and grow.

Trust your gut
‘When we have our heart open and grateful, our deepest potential is unveiled’

Be trusting of your intuition because regardless of what happens in your life.
The universe always provides. There is never, anything missing.

Listen and Learn
‎’Let no-one on the face of the earth stop you from acknowledging the magnificence of your existence.‘
Your soul (the bit of the universe that is within you) has a unique destiny (adventure) and all you need to do is listen to it, and be aware of your constant amazingness. The signs, and evidence of love is everywhere, all we need to do is keep a super keen eye out.
Create
‎‘Creativity occurs at the moment when there is an open, unconditionally inspired message from your soul.’

Ella is always quick to tell me that I am thinking too much and I am very grateful for it. The head and the mind get in the way from listening and learning the signs from your soul (the bit of the universe that is within you). When you follow your own adventure, the who, the what and the how all sort themselves out for you, when you live a life focused on your mission, and you put time and energy onto that then everything will follow.

Phew……………………………… that was a lot of stuff…! Glad I got that one out

I am looking to collaborate with 112 people to create 112 stories for each 112 animals. Over the next few months I will be giving these animals to people across the UK who will then spend some time getting to know them and creating a story to fit the animals character. This could be a poem, a short story, a sentence, a rhyme, a novel… whatever you like! The aim is for lot’s of different people to help bring the personalities of these animals alive. I will then be publishing all the stories and drawings in a book for everyone to enjoy.

You don’t have to be a super duper writer, you just need an eager imagination.

We are excited to announce that the Strive For Happiness and Hackney City Farm are coming together to put on a To Be Loved Again workshop next weekend.

SUNDAY 28th AUGUST, 10am – 4pm, Hackney City Farm.

It will either be in the garden or in the inside workshop bit, depending on rain and sun.
To Be Loved Again is an initiative we set up to encourage people to turn old clothes into lovable creatures.

We will bring sewing machines, old clothes, buttons, and compassion. Do come along, get involved in some stitching, enjoy the farm and take home a creature to be loved again. And bring along your old (too old for the charity shop) clothes if you have any laying around.

This Saturday (30th) we will be appearing at Bristol Harbour Festival.

Ella and I are supporting the lovely people at Happy City with their stand on the amphitheatre.

We will be hosting our Happiness Machine, we love Bristol and miss it, so looking forward to saying hello and we hope to see you there.

We were lucky enough to meet Clarke Turner, editor of Mail Media Centre, who interviewed us about The Strive for Happiness and our letter writing adventures. The MAil Media Centre, is a site for the Royal Mail that aims to champion mail as a form of communication.

So far correspondence get togethers have taken place in cafes and even on the street, asking commuters to get involved. Now it’s the turn of the Mail Media Centre.

On Monday, August 22, Correspondence Monday will be taking place at the Infobank in the Mail Media Centre, Mail Media Centre, Stukeley Street, London, WC1V 7AB.

Last week Alice and Ella took their weekly letter writing to the streets of East London. Our usual weekly morning pursuit of writing to people in the world was made public to all the busy people on their way to work. We want to inspire other people to think about writing letters and spreading love and happiness. Everyone has a letter to write. So come along.

We’ll be at the same place (Liverpool Street Station) same time (8.30am) on Monday, we will bring stamps.

At the weekend, Alice and Ella went on adventures to Wales to the Fire in the Mountain Festival. A magical festival on a farm with pigs, piglets, sunshine, nice people, compost toilets, stew, streams, meadows and stars.

We decided to become happiness machines and translated people’s deepest desires into letters of happiness. We invited people to come and talk to us, and tell us someone they wanted to send some happiness to. We then had a chat about the person and their feelings towards them/themselves, and the happiness machine processed this information and out came a message of joy.

A big thank you to Jess and Ali and Joe, all the organisers and volunteers, people of Wales, and farm animals for creating such a special festival and working so hard to create a place of happiness.
