What a great evening I had when I arrived home from work and saw a letter addressed to my son (aged 5), he ran down the stairs to grab his first ever letter, and was so excited. He took the time to read his name and address, even the postcode, and had the biggest smile ever. He said he had always wanted a letter and had even complained to his dad, just a few days earlier that he never received any mail. He opened it slowly and seemed to be enjoying every minute. He read the words slowly, and looked up at me a few times to smile and appreciate the love I had put into it :-)
When he finished he put it back in the envelope, got up from the stair he was sitting on and gave me the biggest bear hug. He snuggled his face into my neck and kissed me for the longest time. A big ‘thank you mummy’. It made me feel great, obviously gave him a lot of pleasure. His first letter. How powerful the message, even a five year old can be excited about a mail piece, making it personalised, made all the difference. I will write him one every year now…starting a tradition. Thank you for the experience we loved it… Brenda (Media Insight Consultant- Mail Media Centre)

I recieved a letter today. I believe you typed the letter for a friend, who was not able to write the letter himself at the time. And you compiled this from a ramble on a pavement.

It is brilliant. I have read it over and over and it has really touched me as you managed to capture exactly what he was trying to say and has said since. Having it in a letter makes it more special and it has pride of place in my heart and in my house.

I think this is a brilliant idea and think you should carry on,

    Thank you.
